Donoclip lets you record spontaneous audio and video clips using a microphone, a webcam, or a phone, and then send them to your favorite streamers. The clips can then be shown on stream, after a quick check by the mods.
But recording your own voice or showing yourself on camera can be a bit scary, especially if you’re submitting a clip to a large stream. This makes it hard for some viewers to come up with a fun idea for a clip.
Fortunately, the brave soldiers before you have given us plenty of fun ideas to draw inspiration from. Here are the most common types of submissions:
Greetings & compliments
The easiest option is to simply say hi. Connecting a voice (or a face) to a known chatter is absolutely delightful for streamers, even if you don’t have anything special to say.
If you want, you can also wish them a good stream. Or, if you wanna be extra wholesome, why not tell them what you love about the stream? Who knows, you might make their day.
In-jokes, banter & teasing
If wholesomeness is not your game, and you prefer to farm some PepeLaughs, you can always try for some cheeky banter with the streamer. But watch out, if you get too spicy, prepare to get the hammer…
Dad jokes / one-liners
Got a knock knock joke? Or one where a chicken crosses the road, or 3 people walk into a bar? Maybe some play on words that chat will boo you for? Go for it. A bit of cringe never killed anyone.
Pets
Who doesn’t love a good boy? If you have a dog, cat, parrot, gerbil, iguana, or pet snake for that matter – don’t keep them a secret. Chat will appreciate it.
Gaming rigs, merch & paraphernalia
You’ve put more time and more money on that desktop setup than you’d like to admit. Or maybe you have a Warhammer 40k miniature collection you can brag about. Or maybe you just got that T-shirt from the streamer’s merch store. Show us what you’ve got.
Hobbies & skills
That guitar by your desk – do you play, or is it just for show? How fast can you solve that Rubik’s cube? How many balls can you juggle? And do you even lift? Prove it. Clip or it didn’t happen.
